Jewish Community Relations Councilof San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin, Sonoma, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties

Gun Violence is a Jewish Issue

Following the worst mass shooting in U.S. history, in which one individual ended the lives of 49 others and ruined countless more, the time has come to demand Congress finally do what needs to be done to prevent further gun massacres.

One of our community's core values is B’Tselem Elohim -- the belief that all people are created in God’s image and accordingly each person’s life is of infinite value. This principle leads JCRC to maintain that it is critical for us to support "effective methods for reducing firearms violence."

The best way to honor the memory of the lives lost in Orlando, San Bernardino and so many other places, is to stop the hardware of death from falling into the wrong hands. Even if we cannot prevent every gun tragedy, isn't it worth the effort to try?

Please, if you cherish life, use this form to call on your Congressional representatives to take action now!

For the next 18 days we will be taking action against gun violence, find our other actions here.
