Please invite your board members to join us on this conference call!
JCPA's Anti-Poverty Campaign addresses Jewish engagement in anti-poverty service, activism and advocacy. JCPA offers three working groups or "Clusters" centered on specific aspects of poverty: hunger, affordable housing, and healthcare. The Cluster program was created to provide access to expert speakers, a platform for best practice sharing, and a connection to JCPA national activities for JCRC professionals and layleaders.
Our next Hunger Cluster call is on Wednesday, June 2nd at 1:00 pm EST.
Our guest speaker for this call is Ed Bruske, author of the acclaimed blog, The Slow Cook. Ed sits on the advisory board of the DC Farm To School Network and runs the official blog of Parents for Better DC School Food. Ed will speak about how the parent's advocacy group got started, their challenges and triumphs, and best practices for maintaining a strong voice on behalf of the children in your community.
