About Gitit Shoval

Gitit Shoval is one of Israel's singing treasures. She was first discovered at the pre-Eurovision contest of 1979 when she was just 13 years old. From that magical night, Shoval became an overnight success and spent the remainder of her teen years singing all over the country.

For one night only, the Simon Family JCC will be transformed into a jazz club, complete with drinks (cash bar) and light appetizers, as the Israeli singing sensation, Gitit Shoval and her family share an evening of song that will illuminate the Jewish contribution to contemporary world music.

The hits of Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Carole King, and George Gershwin will uplift and inspire as Gitit Shoval sings and shares fascinating stories about these great songwriters as part of her unique concert, From Gershwin to Dylan: the Genius of Jewish Songwriters.

While living outside of Israel, Shoval wanted to establish a creative vehicle to share her Israeli/Jewish heritage and her love of singing with a more global audience by performing in English, as well as, Hebrew. By searching the web, she discovered that many of the North American songwriters were Jewish and this became the inspiration for her current concert.

Join us THIS Saturday night to experience this exceptional performance.  It's sure to be a night to remember!
Tickets - Individual: $23 | $18 JCC Members
