In many ways, Passover is the ultimate community relations holiday. In my years of serving as a professional in the field, I’ve organized or attended more community relations Seders than I can count. Like so much of the Jewish narrative, Passover is both particular—the story of the Jewish people—and universal—the story of the human aspiration for freedom and dignity. Indeed, the message of Passover of rebelling against slavery and seeking freedom strikes a chord with nearly everyone, and makes for the perfect bridge building dialogue.

JCPA2017 Wrap-Up and Resources - JCPA’s Annual Conference brought together nearly 200 of the top Jewish community relations lay leaders and professionals to discuss and debate a path forward on important issues at a time when our community and our nation are divided. The Conference launched JCPA's criminal justice initiative, addressed policy concerns since the 2016 elections, and how to counter BDS and achieve a two-state solution

JCPA Action for Refugees - JCPA has been partnering with HIAS to mobilize the community relations field in support of refugees. On March 29, JCPA joined nearly 800 people as sponsor of the #JewsforRefugees Assembly, organized by HIAS and the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington. JCPA also participated as a sponsor of the National Day of Jewish Action for Refugees organized by HIAS on February 12.
Making April “Second Chance Month”- JCPA is partnering with the Prison Fellowship and 50 other organizations, including the ACLU and NAACP, to promote a campaign to make April “Second Chance Month” to raise awareness about the obstacles facing the 1 in 4 Americans adults who have a criminal record.
