JCPA Teams Up with Dreamers, Latino Organizations, and Jewish Activists to Call for Immediate Passage of Dream Act – As part of a week of escalated action in support of the Dream Act, JCPA and its partners took to Capitol Hill to urge immediate passage of legislation that would protect over 800,000 Dreamers, whose permits are expiring daily.

  • Action Alert: Continue contacting your members of Congress by calling 1 (888) 778-6856 or by clicking here to write your members today! Urge them to pass a clean Dream Act now. 

  • On behalf of a broad coalition of 25 national Jewish organizations, JCPA sent a letter urging Congress to ensure that a clean Dream Act is included in the must-pass spending bill that Congress needs to approve by January 19, 2018. Click here to read the full letter.
  • JCPA also joined Jewish leaders at the Russell Senate Office Building in an action led by Bend the Arc, the Religious Action Center (RAC), and the Anti-Defamation League to demand a clean Dream Act. Click here to watch.

JCPA Urges Israeli Government to Suspend Plan to Deport Sudanese and Eritrean Asylum-Seekers – JCPA fully acknowledges Israel’s security concerns, and commends Israel’s efforts to secure its borders. We urge the Government of Israel to balance such concerns with its historic commitment to welcoming the stranger and protecting refugees.

Israel Action Network Update – The International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP) announced that its 2019 annual conference will be held in Tel Aviv. Members of the organization recently protested this decision and have since launched a petition in partnership with Jewish Voice for Peace. The IARPP’s board has stood firm in its decision to go forward with the conference and there is now a counter-petition to keep the conference in Tel Aviv. To sign the petition, click here. 


Revealing #MeToo as #WeToo in Jewish Communal Life, January 25 in New York – JCPA is cosponsoring a program initiated by the Jewish Women's Foundation of New York.
