Over the weekend, WABC Radio featured JCPA Chair Cheryl Fishbein on the show, Religion on the Line, to discuss how Jewish values conflict with the policy of family separation and what JCPA is doing to stop this inhumane practice. Action Alert: Help JCPA Amplify Jewish Voices Condemning Separation of Children and Families – JCPA co-led a letter with ADL, HIAS, and the RAC signed by 26 national Jewish organizations strongly condemning the Administration's policy of separating children from their migrant families at the border. Since then, the Department of Homeland Security has reported that it has forcibly separated over 2,000 children, including some infants, from their migrant parents, even those legally seeking asylum. 

JFNA Action Alert: Pass the Never Again Education Act – The Never Again Education Act (H.R. 5460) is a bipartisan bill that would use private donations to provide teachers with the resources to teach children the important lessons of the Holocaust and the consequences of bigotry and hate. Please contact your House representatives to urge them to cosponsor the bill.

Washington Reps Group Hears From Aslyum-Seekers in Israel - At the June Washington Representatives of Jewish Organizations meeting, convened by JCPA and JFNA, special guest speakers Tamara Newman, Director of International Relations Hotline for Refugees and Migrants in Israel, and Dawit Demoz, a former asylum-seeker in Israel, spoke about the plight of aslyum-seekers in Israel and recommendations for remedying the situation. JCPA Calls for Nominations to its Delegates Assembly – JCRCs around the country have been invited to nominate a representative to JCPA’s new Delegates Assembly. The Delegates Assembly will be the highest deliberative body on public policy matters for the community relations field.
